Hamid Mir

Hamid Mir was born on July 23, 1966. He works in the field of journalism. He is also an anchor man. And also ensures his role as a security analyst. He writes columns in Urdu as well as English nationally and internationally. He has twice been banned from running his famous political talk show “Capital Talk” on Geo TV. He has interviewed many famous politicians, such as John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Colin Powell and Shimon Peres. He received international acclaim after interviewing Osama bin Ladin following the 9/11 attacks. He has been awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz.

He was born in July 1966 in Lahore, Punjab. He studied and completed his secondary education at the new campus of the University Laboratory School and the Government Central Model School in Lahore. He earned a middle degree from the College of Government Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Government. He received his Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Punjab in 1989. He played cricket, but left the gym after his father’s sudden death.
